It’s Release x2 Day! New Assassin stories are here.

Release x2

What’s better than announcing one new book? How about two?

First up is Witch’s Imperative. Witch’s Imperative is the 7th Assassin Without a Name story. It rounds out the series nicely and enables me to collect those first seven stories into an all-new collection, The Assassin’s Blade.

Following the pricing of the other stories in the series, Witch’s Imperative retails for 99 cents. For something that’s over 100 pages, that’s a steal.

The Assassin’s Blade, which comes in at over 400 pages, retails for $4.99. But, because it’s release day, I’m holding the price at $2.99 through the weekend. Get it while you can.

Assassin’s Justice is officially released

Assassin’s Justice, the sixth story in the Assassin Without a Name series, is officially released!

Here’s what it’s about:

The Assassin Without a Name has a new client and a new job in the form of Kaileesh, a Southlander too sly for his own good. The job goes down without a hitch, but things sour when it comes time to settle. Finding himself at the receiving end of a double-cross isn't anything new for the Assassin Without a Name, so he knows just what to do to Kaileesh. But the situation becomes more complicated when he learns Kaileesh was in league with an influential member of Alchester's gentry. What starts as simple revenge becomes something more as the Assassin Without a Name formulates a plan to bring his own particular form of justice down on the heads of those who betrayed him.

This one picks up a couple of weeks after Thief’s Gambit and starts to build a relationship between our witty assassin and a very unlikely ally.

Assassin’s Justice is available at all the usual places. Get your copy today.

The Killing Knife: Release Announcement

I’ve got something new out. It’s called The Killing Knife. It’s conception was simple: Now that there are five stories in the Assassin Without a Name series, totaling about 300 pages all told, I wanted to put out a compilation of the first few stories to give readers an easy way to get familiar with the characters and the series without having to make three separate purchases.

The Killing Knife is therefore a compilation of the first three Assassin Without a Name fantasy adventure stories. It includes:

Fine Wine
Even for an assassin, death isn't always the answer.

Killing the Dead
Some say the dead should stay dead. Not everyone agrees.

Night of Zealotry
The job was simple, right up until the Assassin Without a Name finds himself in the middle of three organizations all willing to kill to fulfill their objectives.

The Killing Knife is available on Amazon only (for another week or so, until all of the Assassin Without a Name titles fall out of Kindle Select, then it will be available everywhere fine eBooks are sold) and is priced at $2.99. That’s a 40% savings over purchasing each of the stories separately. The Killing Knife clocks in at 54 pages.

Thief’s Gambit, the fifth Assassin Without a Name story, is now available as a pre-order at Amazon!

Cover Reveal: The Goddard Affair

The next book in the Assassin Without a Name series has a title and a cover.

Fresh off his harrowing adventure in Night of Zealotry, the Assassin Without a Name is on the hunt, looking for the secret organizations which tried to kill him before they can try again. But the work of his trade doesn't stop just because he's involved in personal business, so when a new client named Walter Goddard comes around wishing to have a rival eliminated, the Assassin Without a Name takes the job.

Only after the task is complete does he learn that Walter Goddard is a member of the Society for the Progression of Science and Technology, one of the very same organizations the Assassin Without a Name has been seeking. At one of the society’s premiere technology galas, the Assassin Without a Name meets Gwendolyn Morgan, a beautiful widow who has run into problems of her own with the society. Not only does she believe the organization hired an assassin to murder her husband, but she’s certain she’s next. Convincing himself he’s only helping Gwendolyn in exchange for the society’s darkest secrets and not because of his part in making the woman into a widow, the Assassin Without a Name finds himself in the unusual role of protector as the society dispatches their Black Guard watchdogs to kill them both.

The Goddard Affair is scheduled for release in May 2014.

Cover Reveal: Killing the Dead

Killing_the_Dead_425x680

The second Assassin Without a Name short story has been released and here is the cover. Another good one, I think. The short is available across all major online retailers, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, iTunes, and Smashwords.

Here's what the story is about:

Some say the dead should stay dead. Not everyone agrees.

The priests purged one of their own with holy fire. Now they need the Assassin Without a Name to finish the job.

In this short tale, an assassin is hired to kill the already dead.

If readers show interest in this series, I'll likely write more tales featuring this character. Even if they don't I likely will. He's a fun, different sort of character from what I write about in my novels. And, who knows, maybe he'll make an appearance in one of those novels or get one of his own.
