New blog/web site and the demise of the Tower of Marlowe

by @scottmarlowe 1/17/2008 8:33:00 AM

The Tower of Marlowe has been deserted, left to stand as a silent bastion, not to have its parapets nor its winding stairs nor shadowed halls frequented again.

Instead, welcome to my new blog, now residing alongside my web site. I dropped the Tower moniker in favor of my own humble name. I like the clean design, of which I can take no credit for, and the ease by which I was able to customize it to my tastes and needs. The site is based on blogengine.net, an open source ASP.NET application with a back-end written in C#. It's extremely easy to setup and modify, though it currently only has a small number of themes to choose from. I intend to apply my programming skills to keep things running; hopefully I don't throw too many wrenches into the works as I experiment.

Take a look around and let me know what you think. It'll be a day or two before I move my blogspot posts over, though I intend to keep the Tower of Marlowe "as is" for the foreseeable future.

Hi there. When I'm not writing posts like this one I'm writing novels. Like fantasy adventure? Want to help keep my hungry dogs fed? Then why not pick up one of my novels? My dogs (and me) will be eternally grateful.

If you like, you can sign-up to receive an email when my next book comes out. For a limited time, you'll get a free eBook (EPUB or MOBI/Kindle) version of the 2nd edition of The Hall of the Wood, due out in June 2013, just for signing up.
