Scriptorium (noun): the room set apart for writing or copying manuscripts; a room devoted to writing.

Every writer needs a showcase. A place to offer free samples, chapters, and maybe even a full-length novel. I've had one since the beginning. It's where I first made available my fantasy novel, The Hall of the Wood, just over a year ago as I write this.

Every once in a while that showcase needs some updating. So, while this has already been picked up here and here and maybe some other places I don't know about (yeah, who am I kidding?), let this serve as the official unveiling of my all new fiction page, the Scriptorium.

There's hints there of the world I set my fiction in: Uhl, of which the site is still a work in progress. I'll have more information about that when I've made some more progress. In the meanwhile, check it out and let me know what you think. I hope to build on the content--probably some (free) fiction of the shorter variety, but that depends on the progress I make on my current novel, The Five Elements.
