At 88, Corfield still busy writing
Londonder Bill Corfield has worked in the Air Force, been a pilot/journalist for The Free Press and owned his own public relations firm. Now the 88-year-old has turned his attention to writing novels and he has recently published his fourth.

Playing to Type
FORGET LIVING HAPPILY ever after with Mr Big or endless liquid lunches in New York's finest restaurants in your best Manolo Blahniks, Sex and the City's most far-fetched fantasy is the writer who effortlessly produces a stream of polished, instantly publishable prose without so much as a backspace. Carrie Bradshaw, who's about to make her big-screen debut, seems to be the only writer in history who hasn't made a typo, procrastinated endlessly or suffered a bout of writer's block.

So, you wrote a book – now what?
Veteran bookseller and publisher David Unowsky offers no-nonsense advice on how to place your book on store shelves (and ensure that it doesn’t just sit there).

Human Computer Interaction in Science Fiction Movies
Science Fiction movies have been a source for speculation about the future of technology and human computer interaction. This paper presents a survey of different kinds of interaction designs in movies during the past decades and relates the techniques of the films to existing technologies and prototypes where possible.

More 'Dune' for Tor
Pat Lo Brutto at Tor has acquired three new “Dune” novels by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson with a significant seven figure advance to John Silbersack and Claire Roberts at Trident.

Big Bones of Giants
