I'm running a Goodreads Giveaway for the first novel in The Alchemancer series, The Five Elements. So far, about 330 people in the US and Canada have entered to win. The last time I ran a giveaway for this book, which was several years ago, the giveaway finished with about 750 entrees, so I’m happy with the results so far considering we’re only a week into this one.
But, as the title of this post suggests, my giveaway isn’t the only one out there worth considering. I’m a voracious reader myself, so occasionally I’ll take a look at the latest giveaways to see if anything catches my interest. Below are a few of those. If you’re a Goodreads user (and if you aren’t, why not?), then you might find these interesting as well.
First up is mine, of course. If you’re looking for a rip-roaring tale of adventure and tragedy, where great destinies are realized and dark plots revealed, take a look at The Five Elements. Keep your eyes open for another giveaway coming very soon for the second book in the series, The Nullification Engine.
Michael Sullivan’s First Empire series isn’t scheduled to start coming out until next year, but he’s running a giveaway for two limited edition, advanced reader copies of Rhune, the first novel in the series. This is going to be a series to watch, so why not get an early look?
John Kerry is an unread author for me, so when I saw the graphic to the right featured as part of his giveaway of two copies of Eden at the Edge of Midnight and gave the blurb a read, I knew I had to enter.
Blackbeard? Seafaring adventure? Set in the “Golden Age” of piracy? No need to read further for me. I entered McLean’s giveaway for one copy of Blackbeard’s Freedom without hesitation.
I’m running a giveaway for 2 print copies of The Five Elements over on Goodreads. The giveaway started yesterday (2/17) and runs until March 17. So far, a couple of hundred people have entered to win. Head on over and throw your name in the hat. Good luck!
Here’s a graphic with more info on the book:
Ask the Author is a new program on Goodreads where readers can ask any author who opts into the program any question they like.
Want to know what I'm currently working on? When the next Alchemancer book is coming out? Why the Assassin Without a Name doesn't have a name (can't guarantee I'll give you a satisfactory answer on that one as it would involve spoilers)?
Visit my Ask the Author page and I'll gladly answer anything you throw my way.
Here's a couple of stock questions I've already answered:
I'm giving away 5 print copies of The Five Elements!
The promotion is through GoodReads. Basically, you sign up to enter the drawing and, when the giveaway period ends on March 10, GoodReads selects 5 lucky winners.
If you'd prefer to read now and own a Kindle, I've reduced the price of the eBook to $1.99. I'll hold the price there until the promotion ends.
Click-through to find out more about the giveaway or to enter. Good luck!
I'm running a giveaway on GoodReads for 5 print copies of The Five Elements!
The giveaway begins on Feb. 10 (this Friday) and runs for a month. Lots of time to sign-up, but wanted to give some advance notice.
GoodReads giveaways are made with no expectation of anything in return—namely a book review—though it is greatly appreciated.
I'll post again when the giveaway period begins.
