Rion
Rion was born in the city of Brighton to a modest but supportive family. His parents, humble shopkeepers, encouraged his curiosity from a young age. Although they didn’t fully understand the world of magic, they recognized their son’s unusual gifts and supported his studies however they could. Rion’s ambition was fueled by his relentless curiosity and innate discipline.
At a young age, Rion’s talents caught the attention of a passing sorcerer, who recommended he be sent to study at Norwynne Keep. His parents, though reluctant to part with their son, knew this was his best opportunity and happily made the sacrifice.
At Norwynne Keep, Rion’s rise was nothing short of meteoric. His dedication was unparalleled, and he soon mastered disciplines that others spent decades attempting to understand. His natural talent, combined with an intense work ethic, set him apart, and while many were surprised when he was named one of the youngest master sorcerers in Norwynne’s history, those who knew him best understood that his appointment was well deserved.
Despite his rise to power, Rion has remained close to his family. He often writes home and visits whenever his duties allow. His parents are immensely proud of their son, though they don’t fully grasp the complexities of his life as a sorcerer. This connection to his family keeps him grounded, reminding him of the simpler life he left behind. Although he is a hard taskmaster, Rion’s students know that his high expectations come from wanting to see them succeed, just as his parents wanted for him.
