The three stories are Fine Wine, Killing the Dead, and Night of Zealotry. I picked the first three intentionally, the idea being that where Fine Wine and Killing the Dead are standalone, Night of Zealotry begins the overarching storyline (with a bang, I might add), which is then continued in The Goddard Affair and subsequent installments.
Think of it this way: Fine Wine and Killing the Dead are the samplers, like when you're not sure about a new wine and so you ask the waiter to pour a small taste into your glass so you can swirl it around and take a sip. In writing terms, these two stories will give you an idea about my writing style and the tone of the series as a whole. If those two stories are to your liking, then Night of Zealotry will fully satisfy your palette with an action-packed ride resplendent with daring thieves, fanatical priests, cold-hearted mercenaries, and, of course, an assassin with blood on his hands and a penchant for fine wine who just wants to keep his sister--and his city--safe.
