Nohr Stonebrew

Nohr Stonebrew was born high in the peaks of Desolation Mountain, where his gaugath tribe had made their home for countless generations. Even among the massive gaugaths, Nohr stood out—at eight and a half feet tall with a chest and shoulders to match, he was a towering mountain of muscle and coarse brown fur whose very stride could shake the ground. In his younger days, he had been a fearsome warrior whose roar alone could cause lesser fighters to drop their weapons and flee.

The defining moment of Nohr's early life came when he single-handedly fought an entire patroller squad that had ventured too close to gaugath territory. Though heavily outnumbered, his incredible strength, savage bloodlust, and sheer tenacity allowed him to survive the encounter—a feat that earned him legendary status among his people and eventually caught the attention of Lord Gral, the Meat Peddler himself.

However, as Nohr entered middle age, his priorities began to shift from warfare to the more peaceful pursuits that gaugaths truly preferred. He inherited his family's renowned brewing recipe, a closely guarded secret that produced a thick, potent mead that was highly prized among gaugath tribes throughout the mountains. What had started as a family tradition became Nohr's passion and eventually his primary occupation. He transformed from a fearsome warrior into a respected brewmaster, gaining much favor and reward not only from his own tribe but from neighboring gaugath communities who sought his exceptional brew.

Nohr much preferred his new life of cultivating ingredients, perfecting his brewing techniques, and enjoying the fruits of his labor in the peaceful mountain air. He had grown comfortable in his role as a provider rather than a destroyer, and the seasonal rhythms of brewing suited his aging bones far better than the rigors of constant warfare. When Lord Gral summoned him for this mission into the Simmaron, Nohr was reluctant to leave his brewery, especially since it meant abandoning the last precious kegs of the season to his family—whom he didn't entirely trust to save any for his return.

His decision to strap one of his prized kegs to his back for the journey was both practical and sentimental—he couldn't bear to be without his perfect brew, and he suspected this mission would require all the liquid courage he could manage. The loss of this treasured mead to Kayra's attack would prove to be one of the most enraging moments of his life, transforming the reluctant warrior back into the savage beast of his youth, if only briefly.

Nohr's participation in this venture was driven purely by fear of Lord Gral and loyalty to goblin hierarchy, not by any personal desire for conquest. All he truly wanted was to complete his obligation and return to Desolation Peak, his brewing, and the comfortable life he had built among his tribe.
