In Wilderwood, the Hollow always collects its due.
About the Series
Once, the forest bore golden leaves, and a coven of witches kept the Holdfast, a hoard of gold and relics from the Age of Wonders. Then Morwenna the Ambitious bargained with what slept beneath the roots. It devoured her first. Her sisters died binding it into the living wood, and the golden leaves turned black. The old texts give it many names, but the goblins simply call it the Hollow, and they do not cross it lightly.
Three centuries on, the Witch-King, a spectral lord trapped between life and death, holds dominion over the shades of the fools who dared enter the Hollow in search of the witches’ gold.
Cassian, Lista, Marella, and Daegra sought it, and lived. They should have stayed away. The Witch-King let them go, but it did not release them. All four still have their reasons to return.
Tales of the Witch-King is a dark fantasy horror series about bargains, greed, and the prices people agree to pay. Each tale reads in a single sitting. None of them end well.
